by posted 08/31/2010

Welcome back from your summer fun.  With school upon us, it's time for in-house registration to open.

in-house registration will open on 9/1.  This year (similar to travel hockey) there is a two step registration process.

Step 1:  You must go to usa hockey and register your player with usa hockey.

Step 2:  You must then complete the NYH registration which will require you to enter a USA Hockey confirmation number that you will receive as part of that process.

Starting on 9/1, click on the online registration tab on the mainpage of NYH website to get detailed instructions on how to register with usa hockey and NYH.

Information on the in-house program is also provided on the NYH website.

USA Hockey Registration - Reminder #3
by posted 05/04/2010

Thanks to those who have already registered, but below is a reminder and the steps to complete the usa hockey registration for 2010/11 season.

So far about 50% of the players have been registered with USAHockey - please tak a moment and complete the registration - it takes about 5 minutes.  We will send a final reminder in early August to the specific families who have not completed registration.

Have a great summer

Dear Families,

It is now time to complete step 2 of your hockey registration.  In order for players to be eligible to play hockey, they must register directly with USA Hockey and then provide that information to NYH so that we can create our rosters and make sure all players are properly registered with USA Hockey.  Many of you should be familar with USA Hockey requirement from last year.

Please complete the following steps by 8/15/2010.

Players will not be allowed on the ice to practice with their team / play games (PW, Bantam, Midget) or Tryout(mite and squirt) without completing the registration and updating their profile on the NYH website with their registration confirmation number.

If you registered you player with USA Hockey after 4/1/10 for another team or prior to registering with NYH and received a confirmation #, please jump to step 4.

Steps:

1.  Go to the USA Hockey Registration website:  http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/  and choose ice players & coaches option.

2. Follow the instructions and complete the registration for your player and if you are coach you must also register.  The costs is $35 per person you will register.  You may register multiple players and coaches by following instructions.

3. Once you have completed registration you will receive a USA confirmation # via email.
NOTE:  each year usa hockey issues a new number - so it will not be the same as last year.

4.  Now - Got to www.nyha.org website

5. Click on Edit My Account menu tab which is located on the lower left hand side of the main webpage.

6. Enter your email and password - this will bring up your profile.

7.  Click on the name of the player or coach - this will open their profile.

8.  In the middle of the page - you will see  USA Hockey Confirmation # - enter the confirmation number you received (please double check it is typed correctly).  If there is already a number entered from last year - replace the number with your new confirmation #.

9. Click on Submit.  Repeat steps for all players and coaches.

The process may sound long, but it should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to register with USA Hockey and then complete the steps to update your account.

After the 8/15,  coaches for pw, bantam, and midget will be provided an updated roster with all players registered with USA Hockey.  Those not registered will not be able to practice or play with team until registration is complete, and may become ineligible to play in state playdown tournaments

Mite and Squirt players will not be eligible to participate in pre-skates or tryouts without completing the USA Hockey registration.

NOTE:  This is a requirement mandated by USA Hockey to all youth hockey programs in the country.  It was put into effect in 2009.  USA Hockey no longer allows programs to register players on their behalf.  A parent or guardian of a player must complete the USA Hockey registration.
